Presenter Bio:  

Amae Love is a Los Angeles-based vocalist & songwriter with a sound that incorporates her modern approach to soul, blues & jazz.  Amae takes the best of that sultry vintage sound and combines it with her own poetic, positive & empowering lyrics. Amae is a multi-faceted talent whose skills as performer include MC'ing, hoopdance, DJing, acting, performance Art, live looping and guitar.

Amae has recently performed all over the West Coast, from eclectic venues such as the Raw Spirit Festival, the Enlightened Wealth Retreats, the Yum Sauce Lounge, The Bordello Bar, Emerge-n-see, and Harmony Festival, and also as lead singer for Fire/Performance art troupe Liquid Fire Mantra at festivals such as Mystic Garden Party, Symbiosis and Burning Man.

Amae released her debut solo album in 2008, RIPE. With 16 all original tracks, "Ripe" reveals an artist as willing to teach and learn as she is to experiment with musical styles as variant as her own vocal range. The album re-invigorates pop with a touch of soulful blues, and meanders through dub, hip-hop and funk.
