Presenter Bio:

BR. Indra Udayana - Founder and Chairman, Ashram Gandhi Puri
 
Earlier in 2001, the Ashram Gandhi Puri was established in Denpasar by BR Indra Udayana and inaugurated and given name by Ibu Gedong with BR Indra Udayana as its Chairman, BR Indra Udayana took on the responsibilities of running the ashram and engaged fully in the endeavor of promoting interfaith dialogue activities and organizing prayer gatherings and events. Soon, Indra was inspired to create another Cooperation Circle in Denpasar, the Ahimsa Satya Karuna CC. The dream was "to empower people to become truly independent and free through living and practicing the Gandhian lifestyle and simplicity and refusing to harm anyone or any creature in our daily life." He then became actively involved in URI as a Trustee At-Large during the first Global Council.  He has also been elected coordinator of the Komisi Penanggulangan AIDS Provinsi Bali.
Indra is a veritable "mover" in the region. He is highly connected politically and his influence in the inter-religious sphere has enabled him to contribute immensely to the endeavors for peace in Bali.
