Robyn Hasson -

Festival Business Director

 

From snowboarding to surfing, diving to eco-warrior, Robyn has organized global marketing and public relations campaigns, events, and product launches around the globe.  Opting out of corporate America and expanding her vision towards a more sustainable and inspiring world of adventure tourism, Robyn has worked under the sea as a scuba diving instructor and above the sea educating and insuring that environmental impacts are limited and benefits to the local communities maximized.  Here in Bali she is sharing her endless expertise, contagious energy and devotion to responsible tourism with BaliSpirit, as the Festival Business Director.

 


     

Noviana Kusumawardhani -

Marketing & Communication Director

 

She believes that life without creativity is a sin. It is with this motto that she devoted previous 15 years of her career as TV Producer, Copywriter and Creative Director to multi-national advertising agencies, such as Grey Jakarta (1994-1996), Dentsu Young Rubicam (1996-2000), Leoburnett Jakarta (2000- 2001), and BBDO Indonesia (2001 – 2007). Her works  was awarded both national and international.

 

Through her inner self-awakening towards spiritual growth and devoting her time to serve and love people, as well as pursuing her talents in creative writing, tarot, astrology, yoga, energy healing and painting, she relocated to Ubud since 2007 and seriously take her path as Tarot Reader

 

Since 2007, she also dedicates her passion as Business Director for the inspiring Ubud international festival – the Bali Spirit Festival of Yoga, Dance and Music. In the mean time also lecturing Creative Strategy in many leading communication school such as Atmajaya Jakarta & Yogyakarta, Mercubuana University and Imago School of Advertising

 

Recently published book of poetry “Keranda Emas” , also her writing was published in the leading newspaper and magazine such as Kompas , Femina, Cak

ram, and Addiction.
Her greatest achievements are her 2 sons, Banyu Bening and Langit Jingga, who teach her courage, patience and optimism

Daphne Tse -

Workshop Programming & Festival Ambassador

Daphne Tse joins the Balispirit Festival team as the Festival Ambassador and Program consultant with almost a decade of experience in the yoga world as an event producer, extensive experience in the entertainment production world and a lifetime of music experience as a singer/songwriter.


Originally from Texas, she was drawn to music from a young age and went on to study voice and music/film/tv production at the University of Texas at Austin.  She helped produce the SXSW (South by Southwest) festival in Austin, Texas; worked for Virgin records in marketing and promotions; worked at NBC at the Tonight Show in production, recording studios in Los Angeles and produced multiple events in the yoga world including the Global Mala in 2007 at the LA Convention Center.


Currently, she is based in Ubud, Bali living life passionately enjoying being a part of the dynamic Balispirit  Festival Team bringing master teachers from all over the world to share their gifts and talents.  She is also diving into creating inspiring and soulful music to share with the world.  Her new ep, Mata, was released in 2008. www.daphnetse.com

Ni Made Murni -

Graphics Designer

Born and Bred in Gianyar, Murni is CV.Tegun/Balispirit's in-house graphic designer, managing all promotional materials for all related businesses. Murni joined up with Balispirit founders Meghan and Kadek in the days when it was just a concept rather than an actuality. She is a truly self-made woman, finishing school early and beginning work as a domestic helper in the home of an Ubud family. She got bored in that position and was hired by CV.Tegun a few years later.  Closely mentored by Meghan, Murni quickly worked her way up through all facets of the business in different roles.  Mostly self-taught, Murni moved to the position she now finds herself in, as her capacity and potential became evident. As the festival team often states, "Murni ROCKS!".

 


Eva Anggraini -

Administration Manager

 

Born in Yogyakarta and grown up in Jakarta, previously as Megan’s Assistant  and joined BaliSpirit Festival team as Administration Manager.  After thirteen years working as Marketing Administration Staff in Gramedia Group (at Tabloid BOLA), one of the biggest printing media company in Indonesia, her passion for Yoga drawn her to Ubud and BaliSpirit Festival.  Driven by her dream being a Yoga Teacher, she took a lot of Yoga Workshops in Jakarta and became frequent participants in “Yoga Gembira” with Yudhi Widyantoro as the teacher. Since joining BaliSpirit Festival team, she has become a frequent participant of yoga classes at Yoga Barn and getting her experience learning Yoga from many professional yoga teachers.

 

 

 

Rino Sudibyo -

Logistics & Operations Manager

 

Rino joins the Balispirit Festival team as Logistics & Operations Manager; coordinating set-up and setting operational procedures to ensure that the festival brings maximum enjoyment to its guests and ultimate fun-at-work for the whole team.

 

Born and raised in Jakarta, Rino enjoys traveling and loves music. His extensive traveling has taken him to most of Indonesia and various parts of the world, even as far as the Solomon Island.

 

His diverse professional working experience includes ten years in the radio broadcast and entertainment industry plus the last few years as a logistician and as an Emergency Response Specialist with various international NGOs and the United Nations. In between, he makes sure that there is enough time for great food and entertainment. A recipe for balancing his life.

 

These days, he can be seen running around Ubud going back and forth on his scooter bike, visiting venue sites and chasing vendors. Yes, he’s the guy with the sunglasses on his forehead.

 

 

 

Anisah Wheatley –

Outreach Director “Ayo! Bicara HIV/AIDS”
 
Anisah Wheatley started her career in early 1993, after she graduated from Faculty of Psychology , University of Indonesia as a Professional Psychologist, also as a lecturer teaching in various universities in Jakarta. Her lectures mostly covering Psychology and English for students in diplome and master degree in University of Indonesia and University of Muhammadijah Jakarta.  She also taught at ILP, one of the biggest private English school in Indonesia.
 
In 1994, she helped a professional NGO in Jakarta, which is Indonesian Public Health Association, dealing with Prevention of HIV/AIDS. Here she worked as a counsellor, giving personal counselling to professional sex  workers.  She also actively involved in helping the NGO to strategically funding sustainability. She was also responsible in designing training for the NGO in empowering the workers in their field of work.
 
While doing these, in 1996 she was appointed by United Nations to work as their Project Coordinator for a Communication Program called Suami Siaga.  This Communication Program is a nation wide program to helped the awareness on caring for a pregnant mothers.  Her main responsibility was to coordinate all stakeholders of the project like United Nation, Governments, NGOs, medias, Ads Agency and film crews.  She also responsible in designing and implementing the training program for midwives which started in 3 selected provinces and extended to the whole midwives all over Indonesia.
 
She was also a consultant for the Ministry for The Empowerment of Women, giving advices on various issues such as Education for Women, as a Fact Finding Team on May Rape in Jakarta, Children and Teenager issues such as abortion, drug use and Reproductive Health.
 
In 2001, she was offered a job in Business Dynamics as a Professional Development Trainer.  Business Dynamics is a training company handled mostly management training for various big company in Indonesia.  Her main responsibility was developing training programs and delivering the training.  She was also responsible for diagnostic assessment for companies on their training needs and people development. Her expertise is in Leadership, Supervisory Skills, Effective Communication, Cross Cultural Change, Presentation Skills, Team Building, Training for Trainer training.
 
Around this time, Anisah was working closely to some of her previous transvestite sex workers clients to help them with an alternative works so they can earn more money that empower them in condom using negotiation in their field of work. She managed to connect them in some entertainment performances al around Jakarta.
 
In 2004 Anisah started to work for herself developing various training especially the Cross Cultural Conceptualized training, Leadership Management and more. She also continued her study in taking a post graduate program in Psychology, University of Indonesia while establishing her career as a Spiritual Corporate Trainer, Hypnotherapist, Motivational Speaker  and a resource person for media such as Femina, Wanita Indonesia, Metro TV,and many others. In 2006 she graduated as top of the class in Social Intervention, Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia. In 2008 she got a scholarship to continue her Doctoral Degree but decided to take some time off work to write her book and stays in Bali.
 
She’s married, no kids and happy.
