Rusty’s foundation of practice and teaching combines the physical (asana) with a holistic approach, breath awareness, inner emotional and spiritual journey. Over the last 28 years Rusty has been studying the fascia system, trauma release, emotional release, breathwork and many forms of yoga that he loves to share. He has been teaching for 16 years and uses his knowledge to weave into a class that is energetic, grounding and healing. Rusty’s dharma is for the students to walk away with knowledge that will empower them in their own yoga practice and life.

His inspiration comes from teachers like Dharma Mittra, Rod Stryker, BKS Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois, Thomas Meyers, Sarah Powers and SN Goenka (Vipassana Meditation) to name a few. This knowledge is powerful and unique and he strives to pass on this inspiration with methods that are clear and safe. Additionally, he has been studying/teaching Transformational Breathwork for 6 years and developed a style of transformation through breath that pulls influences from many different breathwork and pranayama practices. Rusty continually deepens into himself by enjoying the benefits of meditation and self-practice. He hopes this love is spread, so people can live with more peace, harmony, awareness, and joy and feeling less suffering in their lives.
