Multifaceted Musician & Vocalist

Presenter Bio: 

Sylvia van Swieten is a multi talented artist from Maastricht, the capitol of the deep south of The Netherlands. Besides her Djembe and vocal workshops her life consists of playing and singing live with many groups and artists. Her vocal skills are unique, Sylvia has a great gift for improvising, often using no words but sounds to match the music. She has recently finished recording her own album at the Bahama Kitchen Studio in Sittard.

She has been travelling around the world since the age of four.  Besides her Djembe and Vocal Workshops, her life consists of playing and singing live with many groups and artists, from China to Indonesia to Europe. Her vocal skills are unique and uplifting. Sylvia has a great gift for improvising and discovered a clear and easy method to help other people to discover their own unique sounds and resonance."
