Press Release: BaliSpirit Festival 2017 Music Line-Up Announced

Bali is an immensely spiritual island, known as the Island of the Gods. Bali has become a mecca for yogis and soul searchers over the years and can leave a deep, memorable imprint on people who visit. Now one of the worlds leading and longest yoga and world music festivals, BaliSpirit Festival will be celebrating its 10th anniversary from March 19th – 26th in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.

The feeling of grace, gratitude and spirituality emanates from the Balinese and the magical, natural beauty of the island, which makes BaliSpirit Festival a holistic and spiritual destination like no other. Each year, BaliSpirit Festival unites an international community of highly conscious individuals who gather together with a shared appreciation of yoga, music, health and the incredible devotional culture of Bali.

BaliSpirit Festival attracts a highly conscious and diverse community of over 7000 people each year from all over the world. For many, BaliSpirit Festival has become a pilgrimage, an opportunity to experience true liberation once a year. It is a week of liberation and sacred celebration at its finest, an energetic high point of the year, for both artists and audience.

DAYTIME MUSIC

Coco Love Stage (March 19-24) at Bhanuswari Resort:

The Dharma Fair is the community area where the fun and lively Coco Love Stage is set featuring a wide range of uplifting music and dance performances throughout the day. From local Balinese dance performances to ecstatic dance and kirtan, this area is for people wanting to visit and soak up the community atmosphere of the festival. BaliSpirit Festival hosts a wide range of Medicine Music from leading world music artists, who are inspired to devote their music to uplift and heal.

Music Workshops (March 20-24) at Bhanuswari Resort:

The daytime weekday schedule of the festival will include special music workshops, taking place at a specially dedicated Percussion Tent at the daytime venue Bhanuswari Resort and Spa. From voice workshops with various music headliners to extended world music workshops, there will be plenty to keep all music fans excited and engaged with an all-day program.

Bali Conference (March 24-26) at ARMA Watergarden:

The Bali Conference event is part of BaliSpirit Festival and another great opportunity for music lovers to explore and learn more about both international and Balinese music. The Bali Conference will feature headliners from the BaliSpirit Festival, sharing their knowledge of world music with local Balinese students of art and music. The public is welcome to join at ARMA Watergarden.

NIGHTTIME MUSIC

Bhakti Nights (March 20-23) at Bhanuswari Resort:

The week night Bhakti Night performances are lively and range from dances to ceremonies and devotional chanting. They feature artists from all over the world and take place during the week nights at the tropical Bhanuswari resort in Ubud.

Internationally recognized and leading Kundalini mantra singer, Jai-JagdeeshThe Hanumen will be leading Kirtan. The popular Ecstatic dance will be led by legendary Ecstatic Dance DJ Shaman’s Dream. As well as Sacred Cacao Ceremony, an ecstatic communal ritual celebration dedicated to Mother Earth.

One World One Stage Concerts (March 24-26) at ARMA Main Stage:

The main music evening events take place on Friday 24 – Sunday 26th March at ARMA resort in central Ubud, on the One World One Stage featuring headlining world music artists. One World One Stage music artists share and communicate spirituality, activism and are all uniquely authentic and empowering to listeners.

Popular Australian singer-songwriter, social and environmental activist, Xavier Rudd & The United Nations. Harmonic vocal singer, Zap Mama, who infuses Urban, Hip-Hop and African vocal techniques. Feel-good Indian Bollywood artists, Chugge Khan & Rajasthan Josh.

Desi Sub Culture, a global bass fusion celebrating their cultural diversity from Panjabi folk to urban hip hop beats. Brooklyn Gypsies, an eclectic collective of NYC-based musicians playing live dance music. Transformational and multi genre musician Elijah Ray & the Band of Light, Chilean-Indonesian roots reggae act Sebatierra and The Earth Keepers, the crowd engaging Bana Kuma Orchestra feat. Chris Berry as well as uplifting “Medicine Beat” musician, Iemanjo.
