About CulCha Collective

Ubud tastemakers and tea connoisseurs, the CulCha Collective, takeover the tea table for a night of puerh drip and hip-hop performance. Tea Art lives on in the CulCha Collective – with a modern twist. The old instruments have become NRYN’s turntables, the ancient poetry reimagined in Cappy Franti’s hip-hop freestyles, and the calligraphy has morphed into graffiti. Tea-master Faye Jie steps from behind the tea table to exhibit the traditional dance of China, remixed with kung fu from the city streets. Ghija’s operatic singing adds a new layer of mastery to the tea ceremony. CulCha Collective is a crew of tea servers, musicians, dancers, healers, and ceremonialists. Their vision is to co-create a new spiritual culture each time they gather, a culture that can unite people across any perceived division.

Featuring

Faye Jie – Ubud’s favorite Chinese tea-master. Owner of Xiu Tea House. World-class traditional Chinese dancer, graduate of Beijing Dance Academy, production artist and former hip-hop battle dancer.

NRYN – Beatmaker and DJ specializing in music for Qigong and tea ceremony, fusing eastern and western sounds. Host of CulCha Collective, RISE ecstatic dance, and Beauty Way intentional gatherings.

Cappy Franti – heartfelt, spiritual MC, fresh off the world tour with his prolific world-famous father, Michael. His uplifting songwriting and deep lyrics breathe life into CulCha’s tea ceremony. As the founder of Let Yourself Bloom, he leads a community dedicated to helping people unlock their creativity by cultivating safety and connection within their own bodies.

Ghija – Italian opera-singer Ghija is an experimental artist whose voice merges technical precision and emotional intensity to shape vivid, intangible soundscapes. At the core of her performances lies a continuous motion through vocal registers, where technical precision and emotional intensity merge to shape vivid, intangible soundscapes.

Substance – Substance is a Freestyle Artist, Spiritual Mentor, and Creative Doula – founder of Soul Fluency, a movement centered on liberated expression and sharing our Soul Voice in service to liberation and wholeness. She amplifies the uninhibited play of the inner child and the electric power of the inner boss through freestyle rap.
