About Heeki Park
Born in Japan, Heeki spent her childhood and some of her school years in Seoul. In the 1990s, while studying at UCLA in the United States, she began practicing yoga for the first time. After exploring various yoga styles and traditions, including Sivananda Yoga and Reiki, in both the United States and India, she found herself particularly drawn to Jivamukti Yoga. This comprehensive system, which aims to make traditional yoga more accessible to modern people, resonated deeply with her. She completed her teacher training in New York in 2008, and since then, she has been fortunate to continue teaching and practicing, eventually becoming the first female advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher in Asia.
Currently, Heeki resides in Japan and teaches regular classes and Yoga Alliance teacher training courses at “YOGA BREEZE” in Tenjin, Fukuoka City. She also has the privilege of leading sessions at yoga conferences and workshops around the world.
Guided by the gracious and compassionate teachings of her mentors, Sharon Gannon and David Life, Heeki humbly seeks to share the wisdom of yoga as a path to well-being with all beings on earth. She views this as her life’s work and is devoted to it with deep joy and gratitude.
