A craftsman of organic loops, Salgado is a one-man orchestra, playing, recording, and mixing an array of exclusively artisanal wooden instruments native to South America in real-time. Rumbo Tumba’s live sets feature his impressive all-wooden solo ensemble, which creates a unique natural sound and atmosphere, taking audiences from all over the world on a journey to the purest places in nature. The loop-based compositions highlight the refined beauty of traditional folk roots and delicately incorporate cutting-edge digital tools to project South American folklore into the future.

Rumbo Tumba is the electroacoustic music project of Argentine multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Facundo Salgado, who has captivated audiences worldwide for over 13 years, touring more than 30 countries across all continents.
With an independent discography that includes numerous singles, 4 EPs, and 2 LPs, RUMBO TUMBA has reached over 250,000 monthly listeners worldwide, with songs boasting millions of streams. He has performed at renowned venues and festivals such as Pirineos Sur (Spain), Ozora (Hungary), Fusion (Germany), MTN Bushfire (Eswatini), BHZ No Logo (France), South African State Theatre (South Africa), La Gaité Lyrique (France), among many others.

Rumbo Tumba’s music has not only appeared on various international compilations but has also been selected for the Apple TV documentary series “Long Way Up,” which documents Ewan McGregor’s motorcycle journey through the Andes. Additionally, Rumbo Tumba was in charge of the music for the entire series “Distópica: historias de una Argentina que podría haber sido,” which aired on Argentine Public Television.
