Tibetan Heart Yoga & Warrior Woman Flow
Sanna has been involved in yoga, movement and fitness for over thirty years. In the 90’s she was a fitness model for Reebok and an aerobics instructor in her home-town, Helsinki. From there she discovered this “underground thing” called Ashtanga, led by Petri Raisanen. This turned into a strict, disciplined, sweaty, asana based practice – every day without fail, for fifteen years. Living in Singapore she found a new source of inspiration in Mahayana Buddhism and Lama Marut. This wise and witty spiritual mentor changed the course of her yoga path towards the inner practices: meditation, pranayama and Eastern spiritual thinking and philosophy. Lama Marut authorized Sanna to teach Tibetan Heart Yoga – a form of yoga developed secretly inside the Tibetan Buddhist monasteries.
Sanna holds Yoga Alliance’s ERYT-500 and YACEP. She has taught regular classes, yoga philosophy and teacher trainings for six years at Radiantly Alive, Bali. Her current focus is on international touring, yoga workshops, festivals and running retreats. Her passion is weaving asana with inner practice and bhakti together with her close friend and mentor Vijay Krsna from the Kirtaniyas.
