About Tomboan: Laras Wiraguna
Tomboan: Laras Wiraguna performs traditional Javanese music inspired by karawitan in a minimal and intimate format. With a formation that includes sinden, siter, kecapi, and saron, they bring the sound of gamelan into a simpler setting while staying closely connected to Javanese musical tradition.
Their repertoire includes several original compositions, while much of it comes from pieces and teachings passed down through Padepokan Seni Laras Manunggal, a traditional arts collective.
