Tsaba is a gathering of global musicians that draw inspiration from the ancestral spirit of Zimbabwe while embracing the living, evolving nature of global musical expression. Through original compositions, Tsaba breathes new life into traditional spiritual influences, rhythms, and philosophies, reimagined within a contemporary artistic framework.
The members of Tsaba are based in Indonesia, and the project naturally weaves Indonesian melodic sensibilities, rhythmic nuances, and artistic expression into its sound. This cross-cultural dialogue creates a unique musical language where African ancestral memory meets Southeast Asian musical feeling — not as fusion for its own sake, but as an organic meeting of lived cultures.
Tsaba’s music honors tradition without fixing it in time, allowing heritage to remain fluid, expressive, and alive. The project invites audiences into a shared cultural space of listening, reflection, and connection, where ancestry, place, and creativity move together as one evolving voice.
