KANCIL – ( means Mouse Deer in Indonesian ) is the favorite trickster of Indonesia. It is an animal about the size of a cat, living in the jungles. It has the legs and the tail of a deer, and the face and the body of a mouse. The mouse deer eats only plants, but lots of animals eat the mouse deer. To stay alive, it must be creative, quick and smart.

Kancil Value System – values we want to represent and support with our services
BE YOUR UNIQUE SELF
Every child is unique and authentic, we empower them to express themself in their own
unique way, without trying to fit into any standards
We want every Kancil Teacher, kid, and parent to act on curiosity, respect, be responsible,
be adventurous, and persist in the face of challenges.
We want every Kancil Teacher, kid, and parentto have a concern for the welfare of other
people, cultural resources, and the natural world. To be respectful, consider multiple
perspectives, and honor others regardless of differences.
- CURIOSITY & CREATIVITY
We want every Kancil Teacher, kid, and parent to remain curious about creative practice
like art, and music. We want them to be adventurous, seeking out new and challenging
experiences and enjoying the process of creating, not only the final result.
- ESTABLISHING CLEAR GROUND RULES
our Teachers articulate the importance of procedures, and clear and realistic expectations.
